Position Summary:
The Strategy and Integration group is a team of high impact professionals who plays an integral role in supporting Parkland’s key corporate priorities. From strategy development and execution, business transformation to driving value from current and acquired businesses, the team plays a vital role in several initiatives that are critical to Parkland’s growth. Professionals on the Strategy and Integration team have joined Parkland from leading private equity firms, investment banks, and strategy consulting firms. We are recruiting for talented and motivated team members who want to have an impact on the organization while working with a group that has considerable experience in fundamental investing, strategy, and corporate development.

Purpose of the Role:
As a member of the team, the successful candidate will develop analytical frameworks/models, conduct rigorous research/due diligence, and generate insights to support strategy, transformation and value creation initiatives.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with members of Parkland’s Senior Leadership Team and gain significant experience and exposure through substantial involvement in initiatives which are central to the long term growth and success of the Company.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide analytical support, problem solve and conduct research and analysis into a variety of strategic issues, value creation initiatives and business transformation opportunities.
Evaluate potential opportunities by applying appropriate frameworks and best practices.
Synthesize, prepare and present recommendations to Parkland’s Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
Work closely with business units to build strong working relationships across the organization to draw information and knowledge.
Support the team on broader corporate initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:
Exceptionally high level of motivation and ability to work hard.
Exceptionally high level of focus on quality of work and attention to detail.
An ability to work in a nebulous and changing environment and make decisions with imperfect information.
High intellectual curiosity and desire to learn, coach and teach.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to tailor communications to the right audiences and communicate effectively and clearly in written or verbal situations
Outstanding financial modeling and economic evaluation skills.
Strong team orientation balanced with the ability to work autonomously on projects and initiatives.
Two to five years of relevant work experience in an analytical role.
An MBA, CFA, CBV, and / or CA is highly preferred.
Previous experience in downstream oil and gas, convenience retail marketing or brand management would be considered an asset, but is not a requirement.
