Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to efficiently manage inventory and support warehouse operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have experience with warehouse management systems and order picking processes to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas with precision and safety
- Perform order picking using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Assist in inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining accurate records
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during operations
- Handle heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Support warehouse distribution activities by efficiently managing stock locations and transfers
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods during shifts
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution is preferred but not mandatory
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.50 per hour
