Job Summary
Join us as a Volunteer for AFROBASS Fest 2026, a vibrant celebration of music, culture, and community. This exciting opportunity allows you to be an integral part of a dynamic event, supporting various festival activities and ensuring a memorable experience for attendees. Volunteers will gain valuable experience in event operations, guest engagement, and team collaboration while contributing to the success of this highly anticipated festival.
Duties
- Assist with guest services, providing friendly and helpful support to festival attendees
- Manage entry points, including ticket scanning and guest registration
- Support food service operations, including food distribution and maintaining cleanliness
- Engage with children and families, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately during sales or concessions
- Provide information about the event schedule, performers, and festival amenities through public speaking or signage
- Support logistical tasks such as setting up event spaces, managing crowd flow, and assisting vendors
- Ensure safety protocols are followed throughout the event area
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas to uphold festival standards
- Other duties may be assigned
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or in hospitality is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Public speaking or communication skills are advantageous for engaging with guests and providing information
- Enthusiasm for music, culture, and community events is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various roles during the festival
