Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shop Worker to join our team specializing in the manufacture and assembly of industrial heaters. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of high-quality heating solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing processes. Prior warehouse experience and skills in blueprint reading or schematics are highly valued. This position is essential for ensuring efficient assembly, quality control, and overall production flow within our facility.
Responsibilities
- Assemble industrial heaters according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment safely and effectively
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to verify component dimensions and tolerances
- Utilize forklifts for material handling and movement within the warehouse or manufacturing floor
- Perform welding and machining tasks as required for assembly or repair processes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to adhere to safety standards
- Assist with inventory management and parts organization in the warehouse environment
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times
Skills
- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with assembly processes are highly desirable
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and warehouse equipment such as forklifts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to read technical diagrams or assembly instructions is a plus
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and handle parts or materials as required
- Prior experience with warehouse operations or manufacturing processes is advantageous
- Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
