Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking skills. The Server will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, upselling menu items, and ensuring food safety standards are met throughout their shift.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Manage guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues professionally
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering procedures including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service and cleaning after closing shifts
- Demonstrate excellent guest services skills, including hospitality and attentiveness
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or carrying dishes
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about the food industry and hospitality standards
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
