The Paw Barn is hiring a full-time Store Manager for our Chelmsford location.
We are an independently owned pet specialty retailer with locations in Chelmsford and Val Caron. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused retail leader to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our Chelmsford store.
This is a hands-on management role. The successful candidate will lead and support staff, maintain strong store standards, help manage inventory and merchandising, handle customer concerns, and ensure every customer and pet receives excellent service.
Pet industry experience is an asset, but strong retail management experience is the most important requirement. We can train product knowledge — we need someone who can lead a team, stay organized, solve problems, and take pride in running a great store.
This is a full-time position. Weekend availability will be required, but we aim to provide consistent scheduling and reasonable work-life balance.
Responsibilities Include:
- Development and implementation of policies & procedures
- Continued team product knowledge development and training
- Product ordering, stock counts, inventory management
- Scheduling, on boarding, managing, team engagement
- Store merchandising and managing custom orders
- Delivering the best customer service possible
Required Experience:
- Min 2 years in retail management experience
- Min 2 years minimum in retail merchandising standards
- Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills
- Understands the importance of Customer Service
- Have a strong passion and love for pets
- Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
