Oh Sweet Day! Bake Shop is hiring a Baker/Customer Service Staff (Full Time or Part Time) to join our team at the Port Moody location. We are a dessert shop proudly serving the neighborhood and the rest of the Lower Mainland. Our products are made in-house and we are very passionate in bringing the best cheesecakes, modern designed buttercream cakes, famous shortbread and quality baked goods to our customers.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- baking/preparing baked goods, including but not limited to cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, tarts, cake fillings, and buttercream
- executing recipes with precision and understanding of basic baking techniques
- maintaining workstation, kitchen and overall shop cleanliness
- front of house support, including but not limited to serving customers, operating cash register, answering phone calls, taking orders, cleaning up, folding boxes, packaging products.
The Successful Candidate must:
- have a positive attitude, strong work ethics, and the willingness to learn
- have excellent communication skills and customer service experience
- demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently
- be a self-starter who strives in a team environment and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- maintain a high level of overall cleanliness
- be available to work weekends and holidays
Experience:
- Baking (Required)
- Food service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service (Preferred)
Education:
- Food Safety Level 1 certification (Preferred)
- High school completion or equivalent (Required)
Language:
