We are seeking a highly organized and detailed IT Support Specialist - Tier 2 who will take the reins on daily tasks such as installing, configuring, and troubleshooting.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues escalated from Tier 1 (T1) support, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. This includes identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage and monitor server/desktop operating systems and application patches to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with security standards. This includes scheduling, testing, and deploying patches.
- Oversee all aspects of enterprise applications, including application registrations, proxy settings, and ensuring smooth operation. Work closely with vendors to resolve application-specific issues promptly.
- Lead the operational support for self-storage-specific applications, including the management of security cameras, field site networking, ISP support, and remote end-user assistance. Collaborate with vendors to ensure seamless functionality and security.
- Oversee the application support for self-storage locking solutions, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for storage management, and gate management systems. Ensure these applications operate efficiently and effectively to meet business needs.
- Utilize advanced tools and technologies such as PowerShell, Active Directory, and Group Policy Management to configure and manage IT systems effectively. Implement and enforce user policies including authentication methods, data retention, and multi-factor authentication settings.
- Perform regular audits to assess the robustness of the IT infrastructure. Research and implement solutions to corporate IT challenges, ensuring continuous improvement and resilience.
- Create and maintain comprehensive IT support documentation for reference and training purposes. Communicate effectively with users to understand and resolve their technical problems, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Travel to storage facilities to support with technology/system set up for acquisitions, and support with pre-acquisition/due diligence activities.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- 5+ years' Windows desktop and application support experience in a mid-sized organization.
- Excellent working knowledge with Active Directory/Azure Active Directory; Microsoft 365 Admin Center/Office 365 Platform; Meraki Networking.
- Experience with Rhombus, Davinci, and Site Link would be considered an asset.
- Proven experience in modernizing the end user experience and improving procedures through automation (e.g. PowerShell).
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly through written and verbal channels.
- First-rate trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and a willingness to learn.
- A technical diploma or degree in Computer Sciences is considered an asset.
- A Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for occasional local travel is necessary.
