Custom Touch Auto Body is seeking a self-motivated, detailed-oriented, and experienced Automotive Body Technichan / Paint-Prep Technician to join our team of auto body professionals in providing our customers with quality service to get them back on the road sooner. This position will focus on but is not limited to: repairing/restoring damaged vehicle bodies, including collision repairs, dent removal, panel replacement, alignment, and body preparation while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards. The position primarily fulfills the duties of Autobody Technician, with the expectation of occasional paint-prep duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will work to determine vehicle repair requirements, provide accurate repair recommendations, and repair vehicles for our clients. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor, coach, and train apprentices.
· Follow all safety procedures in accordance with Custom Touch Auto Body instructions
· Prepare components for paint coatings using various techniques and methods
· Mask/tape appropriate areas of vehicles in preparation for painting
· Prime vehicles in preparation for painting
· Identify and consult management with quality control issues as they arise
· Follow work instructions and quality control processes
· Exemplify the culture of Custom Touch Auto Body and support team members in providing quality service
Education & Experience Requirements:
· 1-3 years experience as an Auto Body Technician
· Knowledge of autobody repair and finishing process (e.g., Framing, Bodywork, Painting, Quality Control, etc.)
· Ability to interpret basic written instructions
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
On-the-job training will also be provided working alongside shop management and autobody professionals.
Schedule:
· 8 hour shift
Experience:
· Auto Body Repair: 1 year (preferred)
Your Key Responsibilities
· Determine vehicle repair requirements.
· Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed.
· Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles.
· Mentor, coach, train and support the development of apprentices.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
· Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
· Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses.
· I-CAR certification training and I-CAR welding certification would be considered assets.
· Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
