Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Fall 2026 Co-op Student to join our team for a four-month term starting in September 2026. This paid co-op opportunity offers hands-on experience in administrative and operational support to ensure smooth daily transportation and logistics activities. This role supports the scanning office operations, driver check-in process, carrier communication, shipment tracking, and coordination with internal teams to maintain efficient workflow and accurate shipment information.
Duties
- Scanning Office Support
- Support daily operations within the scanning office to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipment documentation.
Driver Check-In & Support
- Manage the driver check-in process, ensuring drivers follow required procedures upon arrival and departure.
- Verify driver information, shipment details, and required documentation.
Carrier Communication & Updates
- Communicate with carriers regarding shipment status, delays, pickup/delivery updates, and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of carrier updates and communicate changes to the appropriate teams.
Operational Support
- Assist the operations team with daily logistics activities and priorities.
- Support shipment tracking and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn transportation management systems.
- Ability to work effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and internal departments.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Monitor scanning activities and verify shipment information is properly recorded in the system.
- Assist with resolving scanning discrepancies, missing information, and operational issues.
- Maintain organized records and documentation related to shipments and deliveries.
Experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program focused on Supply chain management.
- Experience or coursework involving auditing practices and internal control assessments
- Proficiency with accounting software tools and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment
