Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telemetry systems across various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, low voltage systems, and mechanical components to ensure reliable data transmission and system performance. The technician will work closely with team members to deliver high-quality installation services and support ongoing system maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install telemetry systems according to schematics, technical manuals, and project specifications
- Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper operation of installed equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on telemetry hardware and network connections
- Use hand tools, computer hardware, and low voltage wiring techniques for installation tasks
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to accurately assemble and connect components
- Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, system configurations, and service reports
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
Experience
- Proven experience with computer networking, hardware installation, and maintenance
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment assembly and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and low voltage wiring practices
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, computer hardware components, and basic system diagnostics
- Prior work involving telemetry or similar systems is preferred
- Ability to read technical schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately
