Role: This role supports the daily yard operations while also handling the delivery of concrete pump trucks. The job incumbent will play a key part in keeping the yard organized, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely, safe transport of trucks to customers—contributing directly to the efficiency and success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
Mobile Crane Operations (60%)
- Safely operate mobile cranes to lift, move, position and place equipment
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and daily equipment checks
- Interpret load charts and determine safe lifting capacities
- Perform rigging inspections and ensure proper lifting procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with ground personnel during lifting operations
Heavy Equipment Driver (20%)
- Safely operate and transport concrete pump trucks and related equipment to and from customer sites and company facilities
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, and roadworthy condition
- Secure equipment, tools, and materials for safe transportation
- Complete required driving logs, inspection reports, and operational documentation
- Adhere to all Ministry of Transportation (MTO), Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR), and company safety requirements
- Report vehicle defects, incidents, traffic violations, or maintenance concerns promptly
Yard Operations (20%)
- Load and unload equipment, materials, and deliveries
- Organize and maintain yard inventory and storage areas
- Support routine maintenance and housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist technicians with equipment mobilization and demobilization
Qualifications:
· 339A Mobile Crane Operator license (required)
· Valid AZ driver’s license (required)
· Mobile crane operating experience in construction, concrete, industrial or heave equipment environments
· Strong understanding of load charts, rigging practices and crane safety requirements
· Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or heavy equipment environment preferred
· Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical tasks
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours when required
