Lakeland College is looking for a marketing professional to join the college as a Digital Experience Specialist. The successful candidate will ensure Lakeland’s primary website (lakelandcollege.ca) functions efficiently and strategically to meet Lakeland’s goals, with a strong focus on student recruitment.

As a member of the Marketing and Enrolment team, the Digital Experience Specialist leads efforts to optimize website visibility by applying search engine optimization and generative engine optimization strategies. Monitoring the technical health of the website, such as page speed and mobility usability, is also part of this role as creating targeted landing pages and developing digital advertising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and improve website performance, ensuring a seamless, accessible experience across devices and platforms.
Leverage analytics tools such as GA4 and Siteimprove to identify user behaviour patterns and recommend improvements.
Share regular performance reports with actionable insights for continuous website improvement.
Lead search engine optimization (SEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) efforts to improve Lakeland’s visibility in traditional and AI-driven search.
Track and assess website content, layout, and user flow to improve overall engagement and experience and increase conversions.
Develop and optimize targeted campaign landing pages that align with recruitment goals and marketing messages.
Work with external partners to execute and improve digital campaigns.
Ensure ad tracking, tagging, and codes are implemented on the website for accurate campaign measurement.
Track, interpret and share website analytics to improve website performance, and help improve marketing and enrolment initiatives.
Evaluate landing pages, program pages, and calls-to-action to optimize conversion rates.
Work closely with the manager, marketing and website and the website content specialist to align digital strategy with Lakeland goals.
Provide CMS support by adding or updating website content as needed.
Serve as a backup for the website content specialist during peak periods or absences.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of two years’ experience in marketing/communications setting, ideally with experience working in a content management system.
- Understanding of SEO and GEO best practices as they relate to web development.
- Strong writing skills and ability to write for different audiences.
- Experience writing and developing content for digital ads and campaign landing pages.
- Enjoy collaborating with others in department and throughout Lakeland to achieve shared goals.

Additional Information

This is a Full-time Temporary AUPE appointment (36.25 hours a week) on the Vermilion campus commencing September 14, 2026, and ending March 8, 2028. Salary ranges from $54,853.00 - $69,125.00 per annum.
