Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting various construction projects through hands-on tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and familiarity with basic construction tools and techniques. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in multiple areas of construction and excavation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and clean-up of construction sites, including unloading materials and equipment
- Use hand tools such as chainsaws, hammers, etc.
- Support skilled tradespeople in cutting, loading, delivering and installing shoring
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction-related tasks is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific skills such as chainsaw use
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is required
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in various aspects of construction projects
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
