The Blue Horizon is located in the heart of Robson Street is seeking a Night Auditor/Front Desk to join our team.
The job will be Friday and Saturday Night Audit shifts with for other days, evening or morning shifts .
Our 215 guest rooms are all corner rooms due the cruciform shape of the hotel, many with spectacular panoramic views of our beautiful city. We value delivering excellent guest service experiences, team work, a respectful workplace and consistent processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven hotel front desk skills and a ability to deliver welcoming hospitality.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience on the Front Desk of a Hotel with a minimum of 6 months audit experience.
- Able to respond quickly and make decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent work related references.
DUTIES:
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
- Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, safety protocols, provide information about services available in the area and respond to guests' requests.
- Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers.
- Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.
- Maintain a high standard of professional appearance.
- Audit hotel paperwork to ensure the day has balanced.
- Run preliminary reports.
- Process no shows and close of day.
- Create and distribute reports to Management.
- Make reservations and ensure special requests are noted for appropriate action.
- Remain current on room rates, room availability and emergency procedures.
