Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems, including Micros POS, to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while providing excellent customer service.
- Serve food to customers in a friendly manner, upselling menu items when appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and cleaning protocols.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks in the kitchen area as needed, supporting overall restaurant operations.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience or restaurant experience is highly preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation practices.
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations.
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a busy setting.
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
