Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of the dining area
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, maintaining accurate records
- Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the menu, wait times, and special events
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold high standards of hospitality
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback to enhance overall experience
- Support team members in delivering exceptional guest services by staying attentive and proactive throughout each shift
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse guests and team members
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Experience in hotel or customer service roles can be advantageous in understanding guest needs
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and professional demeanor when handling inquiries or reservations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
- Basic understanding of food service operations and hospitality standards is beneficial
