Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server Assistant to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in supporting our servers and ensuring a smooth dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hospitality is preferred but not required. Duties
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately
- Clear tables and reset dining areas efficiently to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation and ingredient organization as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle guest requests courteously and promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Restock supplies including utensils, napkins, condiments, and glassware to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with meal presentation and setup for special events or large parties
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations preferred
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Experience in cashiering or cash handling is beneficial
- Background in hotel or barista services can be an asset for guest interaction roles
