- To ensure the accurate (quantity and quality) taking of products from the line or storage to ship in a timely and efficient manner.
- To follow all procedures for the shipping and receiving department (Shipping, Receiving, End of Shift, … checking truck temperatures, cleanliness …)
- To inform shift supervisor of any quality issues.
- To re-palletize or have production re-palletize any leakers or other quality issues prior to removing product from production area.
- To date, sign and complete all reports/forms correctly and accurately. (Shipping report, Receiving Report, Bill of Lading for receiving, Bill of Ladings for shipping, Line Reports …)
- To tag any On Hold products and follow the necessary procedure.
- To minimize the exposure of refrigerated product outside of the cooler. Refrigerated products must be kept in the Cooler at all possible times.
- To work together with all other departments to ensure an efficient operation.
- To do the function of the Shipper/Receiver as required.
- To keep your work area clean, secure, and follow GMP’s
- To work in a safe and healthy environment
- To be flexible on work shift as required from time to time including weekend work.
- To report accidents immediately to your supervisor.
- To advise supervisor of any improvements to area or process.
- To assist and train new personnel to the department
- Other duties as assigned
