Ensuring our Delivery and Handout services are timely, accurate, and efficient for our customers ’ and cost-effective for the IKEA store.
Handling customer goods and payment in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way.
Complete any necessary return or exchange procedures to maintain correct stock levels and serve the customer in coordination with our service provider.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT

Your tasks will include:
Create a positive experience for our customers, to ensure they return in the future.
Understand the importance of accurate stock inventory.
Ensure my work space is effectively equipped at all times to help customers when needed.
Confident and knowledgeable to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
Listen to our customers and use knowledge of the IKEA product range to offer informed solutions and resolve customer issues .
Offer solutions to frequently asked questions from customers to help make a better future shopping experience for everyone.
R ecord accurate information in relevant systems to analyze our customers shopping experience to make improvements.
Ensure the IKEA store is a safe and secure environment at all times for visitors and colleagues.
Actively work together with other store functions to continuously improve the shopping experience for our customers in order to drive sustained long-term profitability.
V alue other co-workers ways of working and I learn from those who work differently.
Understand the financial results of my work area and know which results will have an influence over the needs of my customers.
Follow cash handling procedures to ensure the security of all monies received.
Continuously look for more effective ways of working to reduce costs.

YOUR PROFILE

Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
Experience of customer focus and customer service;
Good at quickly building rapport with people from different (cultural) backgrounds;
Emotional resilience and ability to handle conflict (assertive and able to remain calm when confronted with angry and/or upset customers);
Ability to use and take personal initiatives and to make considered decisions;
Ability to work alone but also as a team player
Attention to detail
A flexible approach/open to change
Computer literate
Experience of working in a high volume and fast-paced retail environment is preferred
Ability to prioritise and organise own work to make efficient use of time available;
Ability to handle several tasks at the same time
