Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces, ensuring quality and durability. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools are essential. The Painter will contribute to maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and safety across our projects.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to painting or coating application.
- Mix paints, stains, or coatings according to specifications.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other tools.
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts as needed for material handling and positioning.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs or surface preparations.
- Perform basic welding and machining tasks related to surface preparation or finishing processes.
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure proper storage of materials and tools.
- Assist with assembly or mechanical tasks as required within the manufacturing environment.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by adhering to efficient work practices.
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining processes.
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely; valid certification is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements and mixing paints or coatings accurately.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency.
- Experience with assembly processes is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience in painting within a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $26.00-$38.00 per hour
