Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Carpenter Apprentice. This position offers an opportunity to learn and develop skills in various aspects of carpentry, including roof work, flooring installation, electrical work, cabinet installation, and more. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the construction and installation of various structures and fixtures
- Perform tasks such as measuring, cutting, and shaping materials
- Assist with the installation of roofs, flooring, cabinets, and other carpentry projects
- Learn to use power tools and other equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with basic electrical work, including disconnecting pugs and switches removing and installation of fixtures
- Apply caulking and other sealants to ensure airtightness and water resistance
- Help with heavy lifting and moving of materials as needed
- Learn to fabricate and assemble components according to specifications
Experience:
- Previous experience in carpentry or related field is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and equipment is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on challenging tasks
