Central Utility Services is recruiting a reliable and physically capable Laborer to join our warehousing and yard team. This role involves supporting various logistics, loading, unloading, and material handling tasks within a dynamic warehouse/yard environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with yard equipment operation, warehouse systems, and a strong work ethic to ensure efficient and safe operations across all activities. Responsibilities
· Maintains inventory to ensure optimal on-time deliveries to meet job requirements
· Will identify distribute and coordinate supply needs
· Ensure that Central best practices and procedure are followed regarding all stores functions
· Conduct and maintain annual physical inventory as well as interim counts as required
· Purchase supplies and materials according to required specifications as determined by management
· Interface with Operations Managers, Foremen and Line Crew’s to ensure required materials and tools are available to maintain schedules
· Coordinate and maintain required inspections, repair and replacement of tools and equipment
· Schedule inspections and maintenance of equipment
· Maintain relationships with customers, vendors and inhouse stakeholders
Requirements:
· A minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience
· Class 3 Drivers License with Air Brake endorsement (Class 1 would be an asset)
· Valid Forklift operator certifications
· Familiarity with various utility fleet equipment operation and tool compliment, ie Digger Derricks, Aerial Equipment, etc.
- Strong computer skills - using microsoft office
