Work Location - North York, ON
Shift/Hours – Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM
As a Microbiologist you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and consistency of our products through rigorous microbial testing and analysis. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality control throughout the production process. You must adhere to company's policies and procedure, lot's of room for growth and development.
- Conduct microbial testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze microbial contamination trends and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address microbial issues and optimize processes.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Document and report test results, and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulator
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in science related field preferred.
- 1 - 3 years prior production/manufacturing experience and 2+ year’s relevant lab technician experience.
- Food/beverage industries experience a plus.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to read, write, and keep records.
- Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials.
- Must be willing and able to work any shift.
