Position Overview
Guardium Security is seeking professional, customer-focused Residential Security Guards to join our team, a modern luxury residential community in Southwest Edmonton.
This is more than a traditional security role. As the first point of contact for residents, guests, and contractors, you'll provide a welcoming presence while ensuring the safety, security, and smooth day-to-day operation of the property. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a residential environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of residential buildings, parkades, amenity spaces, and surrounding property.
- Monitor access control systems, CCTV cameras, fire alarm panels, and other life safety systems.
- Control access for residents, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and resident concerns.
- Assist with move-ins, move-outs, contractor escorts, and building access when required.
- Enforce property policies while maintaining a courteous and respectful approach.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and maintenance observations using mobile reporting software.
- Liaise with property management, emergency responders, and Guardium Operations when necessary.
- Identify potential safety hazards and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for residents and visitors.
- De-escalate conflicts professionally and maintain a safe residential environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Security Services Licence (required).
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR/AED certification.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and security reporting software.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Previous residential, concierge, condominium, or customer service experience is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Experience
- Residential or condominium security.
- Concierge or front desk experience.
- Hospitality or customer service.
- CCTV and access control monitoring.
- Incident report writing.
- Emergency response procedures.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekday, Weekend, and Holiday shifts available
- 8 to 12-hour shifts

Pay: $15.00-$17.50 per hour
