Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver for USA Lanes to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Prior experience with heavy equipment operation and automotive repair is a plus, as it enhances the ability to handle unforeseen issues on the road. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ licensed commercial trucks for freight delivery across assigned routes
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Assist in securing freight to prevent damage during transit
Skills
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and best practices
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting skills beneficial
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules
- Good communication skills for coordination with team members and clients
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
Lanes: ON–PA, ON–Midwest, OH, NJ, AB–USA.
Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
