Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient food service management, and a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in the food industry, and the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front of house operations to ensure high standards of service and hospitality.
- Train and develop staff on customer service protocols, food handling, and safety practices.
- Manage inventory control and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate transaction processing using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and service stations.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for front of house operations.
- Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in staff evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary practices.
- Familiarity with quick service & fast food environments as well as fine dining experiences.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Experience in team management, shift management, and staff training & development.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and budgeting principles within a restaurant setting.
