Position
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Employee or Independent Contractor
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or percentage split based on experience and qualifications
What You'll Do
- Assess and treat pelvic floor dysfunctions in all genders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Provide internal and external pelvic floor examinations and treatment
- Manage conditions, including:
- Urinary incontinence
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Pelvic pain
- Dyspareunia
- Pregnancy and postpartum concerns
- Diastasis recti
- Constipation and bowel dysfunction
- Core dysfunction and lumbopelvic pain
- Educate patients regarding self-management and preventative care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers
- Participate in clinic growth initiatives and community education programs
QualificationsRequired
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Authorization to practice physiotherapy in Alberta
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered approach
Preferred
- Completion of Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy Level 1 and Level 2 training
- Experience performing internal pelvic floor examinations and treatment
- Experience treating pregnancy and postpartum populations
- Dry Needling certification is considered an asset
- Concussion, Vestibular, or Orthopedic experience considered an asset
