Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CHEF DE PRODUCTION to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food quality and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for food preparation and safety. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production processes, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The CHEF DE PRODUCTION will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of hospitality and culinary excellence within our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring timely and efficient preparation of menu items
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, fostering a positive team environment
- Develop and implement food preparation procedures that adhere to quality standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate with restaurant management to plan menus, inventory, and staffing needs
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to meet established standards
- Train new staff on food safety, cooking techniques, and service protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas in accordance with hygiene standards
- Serve as a leader in the kitchen, demonstrating excellent culinary skills and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Extensive restaurant management experience preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and hospitality standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to serve as a role model for staff
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is highly desirable
