Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipe Layer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing underground piping systems, ensuring safety and precision in all tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and safety protocols to support infrastructure projects efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Lay, assemble, and install underground piping systems according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to excavate trenches and position pipes accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing pipes.
- Manage the rigging and lifting of heavy pipes or equipment using appropriate techniques.
- Conduct inspections of installed piping for leaks or defects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety procedures during operations.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to pipe systems and construction equipment.
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other heavy equipment.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and rigging techniques.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
