Line Cook
Position: Permanent, part time
Salary: $16.75–$18 per hour - 15+ hours per week
Language: Speak, Read, Write – English
Education: Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Location: 325 Washmill Lake Dr, Halifax, NS
Work: In person
Shift required: Morning, 6:30am-3:30pm
Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team in Clayton Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellence in food preparation and kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety as per Company recipes and standards.
Reporting to the Head Cook and Restaurant Manager, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure quality and safety.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Estimate food requirements, monitor and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Supervise kitchen helpers and maintain inventory/records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas and maintain a clean and organized work station at all times.
Core Requirements (Essential): * Professional Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of consistent experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, professional kitchen.

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple orders and ensure food quality under extreme pressure
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Ability to work daytime and weekends as required
