Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a fast-paced veterinary clinic environment. This is a Part-Time and Full time position (Must be willing to do evening shifts 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM or Morning shift) with competitive pay based on experience. Candidates must have flexible availability, including weekends and Stat holidays.
Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
- Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Collect payments for services rendered
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
- Assist Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with various tasks as needed
- Handle and safely restrain animals when required
- Ensure reception and client areas remain clean and organized
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is REQUIRED
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Proficient computer skills; experience with veterinary practice management software (EzyVet experience is an asset)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling and restraining animals
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures is an asset
- Must have flexible availability to work evenings (1:30 PM – 10:00 PM), weekends, and Stat holidays
