What You'll Be Doing:
We have an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our LOWER MAINLAND group in either a full-time or part-time contractor capacity. For the current employment opportunity, we require candidates to have at least one year of experience providing return-to-work rehabilitation services or other job site experiences (job demands analyses, ergonomic analyses, return-to-work organization with employers at the job site). Experience in community-based therapy or functional capacity evaluations is also an asset.
The role of the Occupational Therapist includes but is not limited to:

Conduct functional assessments.

Develop a graded work simulation program.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and monitor graduated return-to-work plans.

Perform job site visits.
-
Assist with job coaching.
-
Provide timely written and/or verbal communication of assessment findings and treatment outcomes.

Provide ongoing individualized education to clients, with a focus on a timely and safe return to work.
What You Need to Be Successful:
For the current employment opportunity, we request candidates to have 12 months of experience as an Occupational Therapist with 6 months of experience with return-to-work rehabilitation services, functional assessments, or other job site experiences (job demands analyses, ergonomic analyses, return-to-work organization with employers at the job site). Training and mentorship are available for candidates who do not quite meet the requirements.

A Bachelor's or Masters's Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Current registration and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC. (COTBC)

Possess malpractice insurance of at least $5 million per occurrence.

Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently.

Have excellent clinical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to travel to various job sites around the Greater Victoria region.
