Food Prep & Delivery Driver
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and energetic Food Prep & Delivery Driver to join our team. This position combines food preparation, delivery, and service in a daycare setting.
The successful candidate will prepare meals according to established recipes and food-safety standards, safely transport meals to a daycare facility, and assist with warming and serving meals to preschool-aged children. This role requires someone who is dependable, comfortable working around young children, and has a strong aptitude for both logistics and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
- Prepare meals and food items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Follow all required food-safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure food is prepared, packaged, labelled, and stored appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation area.
- Assist with inventory organization and preparation of food orders.
Delivery & Logistics
- Safely load, transport, and unload food orders and supplies.
- Deliver meals to the daycare facility in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure meals arrive at the appropriate temperature and in accordance with food-safety requirements.
- Organize and manage deliveries efficiently, ensuring all required items arrive at the correct location.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with the daycare and team members regarding deliveries, schedule changes, or concerns.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple logistical tasks.
Daycare & Child-Focused Responsibilities
- Warm and prepare meals for service at the daycare facility.
- Clean, sanitize and organize on a daily basis.
- Assist with serving meals to preschool-aged children in a friendly, patient, and professional manner.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest and strong aptitude for working with young children.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and conduct when working in a childcare environment.
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures related to children, food service, safety, and confidentiality.
- Communicate respectfully and positively with daycare staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
- Clean criminal record check, including any required vulnerable sector screening.
- Valid FoodSafe certification.
- Reliable vehicle suitable for safely transporting food and supplies.
- Clean and responsible driving record.
- Strong aptitude for working with young children and comfort working in a daycare environment.
- Strong organizational and logistical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a team.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload food containers, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to maintain a clean, professional, and organized work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children, seniors, or other vulnerable populations.
- Previous food preparation or food-service experience.
- Experience working in a daycare, childcare, school, healthcare, or similar environment.
- Previous delivery or logistics experience.
- Knowledge of food-safety procedures and temperature control.
- Comfortable driving in winter weather conditions.

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
