Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a Sanitation Technician to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Edmonton, Alberta facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.
Position Details:
- Vacancy Type: Existing Vacancy
- Night shift starting at 8:30pm for 8.5 hours on any day from Monday to Saturday. Candidate must be available Saturdays.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensures a general state of cleanliness of the production, packaging, and warehouse areas.
- Follows written cleaning protocols to ensure that equipment is cleaned properly.
- Follows all company food safety programs including GMP's to produce the highest quality products for our customers.
- Accurately completes all HACCP and SQF paperwork for the equipment that they clean.
- Effectively communicates with coworkers to maintain positive employee relations and promote teamwork.
- Works in collaboration with the Sanitation Supervisor and Quality Assurance Technician to ensure the environmental program is performed as written.
- Performs post-sanitation inspections to ensure equipment is clean prior to the commencement of production.
- Report all equipment that is damaged as a result of sanitation practices.
- Maintain a high level of awareness for safety, mechanical, material, and food safety/quality concerns, and promptly notify a supervisor when issues are identified.
- Consistently follow all company food safety programs, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), to ensure compliance and product integrity.
- Uphold all company policies related to safety, hygiene, quality, and team cooperation.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
