NOW HIRING: CONTAINER DRIVER / MOVER

Eager Beaver Moving & Storage is looking for a Container Driver / Mover to support our growing portable storage and moving division.
This position combines local truck driving, customer service, container deliveries, basic vehicle upkeep, and hands-on moving assistance.
Unlike a traditional moving crew lead position, this role focuses primarily on container transportation, container placement, customer interaction, and assisting with loading and unloading when required.
What You'll Do
Drive company trucks throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas
Deliver and pick up portable storage containers
Place containers safely at customer homes and businesses
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Complete delivery paperwork and job documentation
Assist customers with basic loading and unloading when required
Support moving crews during slower container periods
Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively
Provide excellent customer service at every stop
Take ownership of assigned equipment and vehicle condition
Perform basic vehicle maintenance including:
- Greasing equipment as required
- Replacing wiper blades
- Replacing light bulbs
- Checking fluid levels
- Monitoring tire condition and pressures
- Reporting mechanical concerns promptly
Requirements
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
Comfortable driving larger trucks in residential and commercial areas
Clean driving record
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work independently
Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving household items when required
Available for early starts and occasional longer days
Moving, delivery, towing, roll-off, waste, transportation, or logistics experience considered an asset
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort performing minor vehicle maintenance is considered an asset

$23.00 to $28.00 per hour depending on experience
