Job Summary
Anthony Furlano Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet, including pickup trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and heavy equipment (pickup trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, excavators, skid steers, track cranes, drills, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Inspect and test mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify faults and malfunctions
- Repair and service engines, brakes, suspension, steering, and powertrain components
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (pumps, cylinders, hoses, valves)
- Maintain and repair trailers and related equipment
- Prepare vehicles and equipment for annual safety inspections and compliance
- Perform field servicerepairs and respond to breakdowns as required
- Complete maintenance reports, inspection records, and workorders accurately
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace in a clean and organized manner
- Pick up and deliver vehicles for 3rd party servicing as required
- Work collaboratively with fleet coordinator to ensure fleet readiness and efficiency
Qualifications & Requirements
- 310T (Truck & Coach) valid certification
- Valid G license or higher
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with fleet maintenance and/or heavy equipment is an asset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong work ethic with a high level of responsibility and accountability
- Punctual, reliable, and safety-focused
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work in both shop and field environments

Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
