UNDERWRITER (SPECIALTY LINES)
ASSOCIATION & AFFINITY BUSINESS – TORONTO
The successful applicant will be passionate, and results-oriented with the capability to build upon and foster relationships with our broker clients. Specifically, the successful applicant will be responsible for underwriting and administering a suite of insurance programs for our Association & Affinity Business team.

Accountabilities include: .
- Managing a portfolio of miscellaneous errors and omissions, medical malpractice, and non-profit Directors’ & Officers’ Liability group insurance programs.
- Maintaining and building broker relationships.
- Responding to multiple broker queries and evaluating exposures to determine appropriate terms and conditions of coverage.
- Learning new product lines and coverages.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of relevant industry trends and their impact on products offered.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 – 3 years’ experience underwriting specialty lines (Professional Liability: Medical Malpractice/Healthcare/Miscellaneous E&O).
- Working knowledge of Commercial Package and Casualty insurance lines.
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in communication, business, or insurance preferred.
- Insurance designations (such as RPLU, CIP or CAIB) or those enrolled in relevant certification programs are an asset.
