Alberta Precision Laboratories also offers a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually, paid on an hourly basis for all hours worked at the basic rate of pay.
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Preferred Qualifications:
Reside within, or be willing to relocate to, approximately 20 km of McLennan. Experience with the Vitros XT 3400, Sysmex XN-550 or XN-530, Triage, i-STAT, Clinitek, WellSky, and Epic systems is considered an asset. Strong phlebotomy skills are required.
