Job Description:
Western Auto Group LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Powersports Service Manager to lead our growing service department.
This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of service operations, including technician performance, workflow management, customer satisfaction, departmental profitability, and staff development.
We are looking for a strong leader with dealership experience who can hold a team accountable, maintain high standards, and help continue building an efficient and profitable service department.
Important: Applications without dealership service management experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day service department operations
- Manage technicians, apprentices, and service advisors
- Monitor shop productivity, efficiency, and performance
- Ensure repair orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction and service quality
- Handle customer concerns and escalations when required
- Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
- Work closely with the Parts and Sales departments to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor warranty administration and manufacturer requirements
- Track departmental performance and implement process improvements
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of dealership service management experience preferred
- Powersports experience strongly preferred
- Automotive, heavy equipment, marine, RV, or related dealership experience will be considered
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience managing technicians and service personnel
- Strong understanding of service department operations and workflow management
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Experience with dealership management systems preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
