THE ROLE
Trimac Transportation is looking for a motivated and detail oriented HRBP Associate to support the Human Resources Business Partner team. The primary responsibilities of this role will involve creating documentation, running reports, and updating tracking for various HR processes as well as conducting exit interviews. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources operations and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
This role will report directly to the Director of Human Resources Business Partners.
Responsibilities:
Documentation Creation / Tracking:
- Assist in drafting offer letters, progressive discipline letters and other HR-related documents.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Perform follow-ups with management to ensure documentation is processed.
- Track completion of documentation.
Exit Interviews:
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights.
- Identify trends and patterns from exit interview data to recommend improvements to practices and policies.
- Document exit interview findings and provide summaries for analysis.
Support:
- Provide administrative support to the HRBP team as needed, including, but not limited to, data entry, scheduling meetings, note taking and employment verifications.
- Help maintain employee records and databases.
- Provide support during labour negotiations and with the assistance of the HRBP team draft Memorandums of Agreement and edit Collective Agreements.
Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Positive and collaborative attitude that acts with high integrity.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Able to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload and time-sensitive deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
- Intermediate in MS Word and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) is considered an asset.

Requirements/Education Studies:
- Current student or graduation in Human Resources program or related field of study.
