Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team in. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing accurate project estimates that support our company's mission of providing top-tier service and innovative solutions. Based in, you will contribute to our growth by ensuring precise cost assessments for a variety of plumbing and HVAC projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for plumbing, HVAC, and water-quality projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements.
- Utilize Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating tools to develop cost proposals.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential challenges.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Assist in the development of bid strategies that align with company goals.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation.
- Support the sales team during the bidding process to ensure timely submissions.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the plumbing or HVAC industry.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and project management software.
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to analyze project costs accurately and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations is a plus.
- Construction experience is highly valued.
