ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Maxxit Systems Inc. is currently looking for an experienced full time Architectural Product Designer. The incumbent will: analyze our client’s requests, apply manufacturing methodologies / available materials, and develop buildable products that satisfy our clients design intent while keeping the project in budget. This is done through creating detailed / accurate technical drawings, plans, and 3D models, using specialized CAD software.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Create 3D CAD models and technical drawings based on project requirements, sketches, specifications, and design concepts.

Guide and follow assigned project through the entire life cycle, from concept to install documentation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic goals.

Review and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and other relevant materials to accurately represent design intent.

Modify and revise existing designs to incorporate changes, improvements, BOMs or updates.

Collaborate with MAXXiT Design & other internal teams to find create solutions for your project

Liase with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for designs.

Design for optimal production efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Maintain accurate documentation of design iterations, decisions, and revisions.

Participate in design reviews and present concepts and progress to internal and external stakeholders.

Utilize all available tools to maximize productivity, design tables, scripts, macros, code, bath processing are the workflows we want you to be considering

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines.

Take the lead managing prototyping, problem solving, creative solutions, researching as required.

Design for change – understanding the project and modeling with the correct design intent to allow for easy updates where they are most likely to occur.

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in architectural product engineering for commercial and retail projects.

Experience creating parametric designs in Rhino with Grasshopper.

Experience with Revit, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative would be an asset.

A bachelor's degree in in a relevant program such as, architecture, interior or industrial design.

Proven experience as a CAD Designer or in a similar role.

Previous experience in with sheet metal design, component design and or aluminum extrusion design

The ability to identify and resolve design challenges and technical issues.

Effective communication, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and convey design concepts and changes.

Exceptional attention to detail

Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

Ability to adapt to new software, design standards, and project requirements as they evolve.

Ability to perform low impact physical tasks. May involve lifting of up to 50 lbs.

A portfolio showcasing past design projects and CAD work should be submitted when applicants apply to this role.
