Role Summary:
The Office & HR Administrator will be responsible for overseeing daily office operations and providing comprehensive support in human resources activities. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of HR practices, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
· Maintain office supplies and inventory, ensuring a well-organized and efficient work environment.
· Assist with preparing agendas, pre-reading packages and reports, and taking notes in important team meetings.
· Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
· Onboard new employees, including preparing orientation materials and assisting with initial training.
· Assist with the recruitment processes, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communications.
· Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the Leadership team.
· Help with co-ordinating internal staff events.
· Manage staff vacation calendars, shared room calendars for meeting room availabiltiy, and other Outlook items on behalf of the team.
· Foster a positive and professional work environment, addressing employee inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in an office administration and/or HR support role
· Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and experience working with HR / customer management software (general "tech savviness")
· Knowledge of HR practices and employment laws is preferred
· High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is a plus.

Physical / Environmental Requirements:
· The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
· Must be able to sit / stand for long periods of time at a desk.
· Freedom Concepts is located inside the Perimeter, but unfortunately outside of city services such as Transit. Therefore, having your own vehicle and having reliable transportation is strongly encouraged (but not required).
Salary Range:
· To be discussed during the interview process, but is dependent upon years of experience and the specific skillset the successful candidate is bringing with them.
