Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport products to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload shipments using moving equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring items are handled with care
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before and after trips to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any concerns or delays
- Assist in warehouse tasks including inventory management, organizing stock, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction upon delivery
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations familiarity with forklift operation
- Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift; physical stamina is essential
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial driving is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to moving goods and operating forklifts or other equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in customer service or warehouse roles will be advantageous
