Elma Steel & Equipment Ltd. is a metal service center, established in 1970 with locations in Listowel, Owen Sound and Cambridge. The company has serviced the steel requirements for customers throughout Southwestern Ontario for over 50 years. We are The Great Steel Place.
We need you to join the great sales team at the OWEN SOUND branch to continue the excellent service and support for a wide and varied customer base.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience with steel sales or related hands on experience with steel in construction, manufacturing etc. We are willing to train a candidate who shows potential for the position.

We are unable to sponsor Work Visas at this time. Candidates must already be authorized to work in Canada.
This position offers a wide variety of tasks which includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Quote material for potential sales.
- Price sales order for incoming customer orders.
- Process customer orders for warehouse to prepare and ship.
- Answer customer product inquiries in person and electronically.
- Build relationships through excellent customer service to generate repeat sales.
- Identify and actively pursue new sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Sales experience.
- Metals industry product knowledge is preferable (general line and structural steel products).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with fellow staff.
- Able to read and follow printed and verbal instructions
- Proven problem-solving skills
- ·Computer literacy-Able to proficiently use computer terminal and related functions pertaining to the job,
- Proficient mathematical skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks at one time.
Academic /Educational/ Related Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing or equivalent experience.
- Two to five years of sales experience is beneficial, but consideration of a candidate with potential to grow with the company will be given.

- Day shift 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday to Friday
