Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry work in accordance with blueprints, building plans, and specifications
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Install cabinets, siding, drywall, windows, doors, and hardware
- Inspect work to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficient in various carpentry skills including siding installation, roof repair, plumbing work, tile laying, electrical work, and heavy lifting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and material calculations
- Experience in fabricating and constructing structures using different tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
