Job Summary
We are looking for someone hardworking, eager to learn, and looking for a long term career. This is a labour intensive job, not just a truck driving position. Your main focus will be pumping septic and holding tanks for residential and commercial customers using clean modern equipment. A lot of our jobs are emergency based, due to this hours can be unpredictable, although we do our best to maintain consistency. The average work day is 8-10 hours and this is a seasonal position (typically March-December).
Duties
- Back & drive into tight driveways, run hose from the truck to the tank, and pump the tank. Pumping tanks isn't as simple as dropping the hose in the tank and waiting, it requires a lot of physical strength.
- Dispose of sewage waste at the waste water treatment plant.
- Work independently while communicating with customers and office staff.
- Make detailed notes about completed jobs throughout the day.
- Invoice and collect money from customers using our modern software and iPads.
Requirements
- You must hold a valid DZ drivers license.
- Experience driving an 18 speed manual transmission would be an asset.
- Be able to lift 50+ lbs.
- Positive and friendly attitude.
- Weekend and after hour availability is required for on call shifts.
Pay will increase once you are fully trained or the probation period is completed. Benefits are provided after the probation period is completed. Raises are given to our long term employees. Overtime is given after 44 hours per week.
Our shop is currently based in Keene but we will be moving to our new shop in Norwood with 1-2 months. We are a fast growing company looking for someone to grow with us.
