With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Ontario, Canada!
Responsibilities:
-
Reporting to the Country Sales and Operations Manager, leverage and utilize all available resources and work closely with Territory Sales Managers to provide world class technical support to new and current customers on the proper use of the entire product line to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals in the assigned geographic territory.

Optimize technical support resources to most effectively maintain a satisfied customer base as well as to train new customers and technicians to drive profitable sales to meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals while managing an annual operating budget

Work in partnership with Territory Sales Managers to develop and execute an annual accelerated business growth plan that includes new product launches, existing customer support, new installations, new applications, upgrades, etc. for all products

Monitor appropriate food and beverage market segments and competitive offerings and adjust tactics and go to market strategy accordingly to gain market share

Utilize and update CRM MS 365 platform daily to manage all customer communications

Work closely with Territory Sales Managers, Marketing, Tech Service, Applications Team and R&D teams to overcome customer technical obstacles in order to maintain and gain new business

Active participation in relevant industry associations (IAFP, IFT, GFSI, PMA, etc.) as a speaker, convener, panelist, poster author, technical working group member, professional development group, etc.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in life sciences (biology, microbiology, chemistry, food microbiology) or a related field required. MS or PhD in Food Science or Microbiology preferred

Knowledge and experience with ATP, PCR, ribotyping, molecular systems, allergens (LFS and ELISA) preferred
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience of B2B sales or technical support position required to include the following: Experience in sales/tech support in the food & beverage market and Experience in sales/tech support and/or marketing in health care market

Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS 365 CRM Navision ERP) WebEx or similar web meeting application.

Bilingual English & French preferred

Working Conditions:

Maximum of 50% overnight travel

Days consist of either driving and/or flying to see customer in the territory
