We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The Laser Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring production efficiency and product quality.
Duties
- Operate laser cutting machines, ensuring precision and quality in all cuts.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products to meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting paths.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to cutting specifications.
- Assist in the setup of CNC machines when necessary.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely as required.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols within the manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with laser cutting technology is preferred.
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, welding, milling machines, lathes, and CNC operations is a plus.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential.
- Previous experience in quality inspection processes is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
